Hidden Beauty of Imperfection

Our philosophy is finding the perfection in imperfections.  We love natural simplicity and are deeply inspired by how we can keep homes feeling happy and alive.  We design to let you, the user, be creative with our products, designs and styles to provide you with new inspirations.  We look for things that are beautiful in their imperfection that reflect our Wabi Sabi Home & Design Studio’s perspective.

WSHDS has assembled a collection that is the epitome of elegant imperfection to enable you to create a comfortable, cozy, relaxing feeling for your home.

With just a few WSHDS items, you can make your entire home feel refreshed and welcoming, while looking stylishly confident.  Our mission is to provide a great selection of home products and furnishings, classic, timeless pieces at reasonable prices, good quality and provide you with a high level of service.  We want to help you create a warm, informal ambiance in every room of your home.

The focus of our store is to offer beauty, comfort and function in both home décor and furnishings reminiscent of years gone by.  Most of our pieces can be customized.  We pride ourselves on bringing together items that are hand-picked and carefully selected by our founder. Gwen Sautner-Davis.  We hope the quality and aesthetic of these pieces helps you and your family make precious memories, handing them down to the next generation to appreciate and enjoy as heirlooms.

We also painstakingly restore vintage and antique treasures while protecting the character of time worn beauties.

Gwen shares her approach:

“The store is my creative playground.  It’s where I can indulge in the time to pay attention to every detail, from a perfect ruffle to the perfect paint finish to the perfect cushion.”
